March of Dimes Helps Close To Home

If you haven’t yet contributed to the March of Dimes  this year through the PRTC Motorcycle Ride or the annual Community Walk, it’s not too late. And hearing PRTC’s Valerie Ancrum’s story will make you want to do what you can, even in a tough economic year. PRTC recently raised $11,586 for the March of Dimes March for Babies Campaign through our sponsorship of the PRTC Motorcycle Ride and many other fundraising events.

“My water broke at 28 weeks. And at 30 weeks, I delivered our son. He weighed 3 lbs, 3 oz. It was definitely touch and go for quite a while. But with the technology discovered through the March of Dimes, we now have a happy, healthy 23 lb boy.”

“I never really thought much about the March of Dimes either. But I’m here to tell you that it does make a difference to folks in this community. I encourage everyone to get involved and give all year long. There are countless opportunities throughout the community to contribute your time and money. You will be making a difference.”
