(Manning, SC) Randolph's Landing, the original Santee Cooper fish camp , established in 1945, is proud to announce their 28th National Championship Catfish Tournament September 25 and 26th, 2010. Located at the top of the Santee Dam, on Lake Marion, Randolph's has been known world-wide to host 2 major catfish tournaments on these lakes every year that produces wheelbarrows full of huge sized catfish. This annual event bring anglers from all over in search of the monster Santee Cooper Cats.
The tournament is an 80% Payback with payouts to the top 5 in each category, Total Weight and Big Fish. Entry fee is $100 per team. A team can be 1, 2, 3 or 4 people. The big fish pot is $25 per team and pays 75% to the 1st place Big Fish and 25% to the 5th place Big Fish. Trophies will be issued to top 3 in each category.
Registration Desk and Tackle Shop Open 5 a.m. Sat. September 25, 2010. Owners, Nick and Lena Lucas have recently remodeled the waterfront motel and efficiency rooms with new carpet, tile, and furniture to make your visit comfortable and their rates are very affordable. They have a variety of accommodations with each unit set up to accommodate different groups, with different sleeping arrangements. Each unit includes a television, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. So remember to reserve early to have the best possible choice. Reservations are accepted up to 12 months in advance. Pets are allowed. Please call 1-800-BIG-CATS to verify for your particular pet. A small fee may apply.
Team Member must pick up fish weigh-in card 5 a.m. thru 7:30 a.m. Sat. Sept. 25, 2010 if they did not get their weigh-in card Friday. Blast Off is 7:30 a.m., Sat. Sept. 25, 2010. Final Weigh-In 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010. Awards & Prizes following weigh-in. The public is welcome at the weigh-in. Come on down to see all the fish! There are 3 ways to enter- remember you only have to register before Blast off- Entry Fee isn't due until before Blast Off.
